Antiques are a fascinating way of connecting with people from the past. They enable us to travel back through time as we imagine the lives they have touched, from the moment they were first handcrafted, through the generations who have admired, owned and used them. Through antique decorative items we can glimpse and imagine the life experiences and personal stories of their previous owners.
Welcome to my blog - I have a varied but carefully selected collection of
antiques and interiors, including English antiques, French antiques, and a wide range of
decorative antiques. There is great variety, but each piece has been chosen for a reason—whether it is the texture of
antique ceramics, the form of
antique furniture, or the colour and character of
antique textiles.
Just as my portfolio is varied, so too will this page be. Here I will share my experiences of sourcing antiques, from fairs and markets to auctions across Sussex and beyond, offering insight into the day-to-day life of an antique dealer in Sussex. I will also explore the process of selecting, restoring and presenting decorative antique furniture and other unique pieces.
