Vintage Equestrian Hunting Tally Ho linen Fabric (5 metres)
£ 180.00
A set of three distinctive and characterful thick linen fabrics. Designed with various bold vignettes showing horses, hounds and other countryside scenes. This fabric is unusual, produced in wonderful vivid emerald green and crimson red colours, which are offset against a cream background. I have been unable to identify the fabric but it is of the same genre as Sanderson's 'Tally Ho'.
History ~ 1950s, origin unknown.
Condition ~ This fabric was originally made into curtains and it has been unpicked and laundered, it is in strong and robust condition, with no marks, except for the edges - Each piece has an old fold lines running down each side of it. On one side it is 3 cm in from the selvedge edge and on the other it is 6 cm in from the selvedge edge. The material is not usable beyond these points, (as shown in the final but one image).
