A charming heavy weight linen union fabric - featuring an idealist pastoral scene from the 18th century, incorporating several small vignettes of ladies and gentlemen with sheep and goats within romantic woodland hideaways. This classic Sanderson fabric is named 'Arbour' and is a fine example of their range of decorative items - drawing inspiration from the country house and English garden aesthetic.
History ~ 1950s, Sanderson, England.
Condition ~ Good condition, unused. Not laundered, a little dusty and a clear dust line running along the middle fold line on the outer part of the role only, but no permanent marks. There are fold lines throughout so it would benefit from being laundered before use. The fabric will be folded flat for postage as shown in the last image without the Sanderson cardboard liner.
