Tibetan chinoiserie Food Cabinet

This cabinet is made from dark lacquered pine, which has been hand painted with floral motifs. There is one shelf inside.

History ~
Circa 1880, Tibet. Similar cabinets were often used as family altars and to store religious or precious items.

Condition ~
Consistent with age and use. The decorative panels show signs of stains.
