Small antique rustic pottery green glazed Ginger Jar or Pot
This small rustic antique ginger jar is designed with six hexagonal panels, each of which has a raised design featuring various Chinese flowers. The neck and the base are unglazed showing the bare earthenware, which has mellowed to a good colour. This ginger jar has a loosely applied drip glaze which runs unevenly down the exterior of the pot in a soft mid green.
History ~
Circa 1900, China.
Condition ~
Good antique condition, no cracks. This is a rustic, individual antique which has imperfections and is not uniform, there are various indentations and colour variances to the bare earthenware around the neck of the jar, as shown.
