Set of 10 French Napkins or Serviettes with red antique embroidery monogrammed T E
A large and attractive set of ten antique white cotton damask napkins or serviettes. Each one has a large striking and ornate antique embroidery cross stitch in red showing the letters T E. The embroidery is offset against a subtle traditional check damask pattern in a thick weave.
History ~
France ~ circa 1920.
Condition ~
Fair antique condition, strong and robust for use. No rips or repairs - one napkin has a light felt tip mark on it. The red embroidery stitching has faded a little on some of the napkins.
