A bold rustic pottery raised plate, which has previously been wall mounted. Hand painted in a strong geometrical design - defined by a cobalt blue and mustard yellow colour scheme. Over time this has softened and acquired a lovely faded patina.
History ~
19th century, most probably from Kubachi, an area which was originally part of Persia/Iran.
Condition ~
A section of the rim is chipped and there are some surface losses to the painted decoration in the centre of the plate, as shown in the images.
