Pair of vintage murano end of the day splatter glass vases

A striking pair of murano hand blown studio glass vases, in an array of warm colours, which is splattered over a white background, under a clear layer of glass.

History ~
Circa 1950, Italy. Originally 'End of the day' glass was made by glassworkers in their own time at the end of the day, using up the remaining molten glass in the pots. The term is now used to describe glass which has specks of colour that has been melted in with the original glass.

Condition ~
Good antique condition, consistent with light usage.
