Pair of Victorian antique Still Life oil Paintings of Strawberries and Oranges
Pretty pair of still life oil on canvas paintings showing two baskets, one with oranges and the other strawberries. These paintings have a good feeling to them, they are simple but nicely painted, and the frames have acquired a wonderful warm glow to the gesso.
History ~ Late 1800s, England.
Condition ~ The inner mount on the still life featuring the strawberries has been repaired in the past, there are some surface scratches to both paintings, and in certain light there are visible lines on the canvas where the stretcher has left marks.
