Pair of antique Cushions made from a Paisley Shawl

A wonderful pair of antique cushion made from a woollen Victorian paisley shawl. Lovely warm tones of madder red and olive green incorporated in this attractive classic paisley design within a piped edge. The patterns on each cushion are almost mirror images.
History ~ 1800s, England.
Condition ~ Good condition. The paisley fabric has been professionally attached to a strong cotton inner layer so it is robust and practical. The reverse is made of an upholstery quality pure linen backing in a closely matching soft green colour, with a central concealed zip closure.
Measurements ~ When laid flat each cushion is 19" or 48 cm at the widest point and is filled with a 22" feather pad.
