Pair of 19th century antique faux bamboo Side Chairs
A pair of attractive faux bamboo side chairs, with remnants of their original paint still in place. The original beech wood has acquired a mellow and soft patina and the chairs are well proportioned and designed.
Condition ~
The rushing on the seats is not original, although it has been replaced some time ago and the new rushing has acquired a natural finish. There are some losses to the edge of the wooden seat where it joins the upright frame, as shown in the images. This does not effect the stability of the chairs, they are strong and sturdy.
