A stylish mid-century table lamp, made from a beige resin and a fibre glass mix, resting on a faux marble base, which is made from a similar material. It creates a beautiful soft peachy warm glow when turned on. Its design draws inspiration from how cloth drapes, creating delicate folds, and its fabric like form, which appears to be suspended, creates a wonderful sculptural design.
History ~
This is the Ophélie model, also referred to as The Handkerchief Lamp. Made for Athena by Georgia Jacob, 1970s, France. This lamp design has remained an iconic example of lighting design since it was first introduced.
Condition ~
Good antique condition, no chips or cracks, original cable, PAT tested for immediate use.
