Mid century wool Cushion in geometric design

A decorative textile cushion which has been completely hand worked in woollen needlepoint, in a repeating geometric pattern, with a great deal of care and accuracy. Using an olive toned wool which is offset against a natural cream background. The surface is densely textured but the wool is very tactile - so it feels substantial and offers warmth and durability but also softness, so characteristic of traditional wool craftsmanship.
History ~
Circa 1970, UK.
Condition ~
Good antique condition, the cushion is backed with plain cream French linen with a central concealed zip.
Measurements ~
When laid flat, before inserting the pad, each cushion is 19" or 48 cm at the widest point and is then filled with a 22" or 56 cm feather pad.
