Large mid century antique murano 'end of the day' Splatter Glass Vase

A large and eye-catching Murano hand blown studio glass vase, in an array of predominantly red and yellow shades, offset against white and is reflected under a layer of clear glass.

History ~
Circa 1950, Italy. Originally ‘end of the day’ glass was made by glass workers in their own time at the end of the day, using up the remaining molten glass in the pots. The term is now used to describe glass which has specks of colour that have been melted in with the original glass.

Condition ~
Good antique condition, consistent with normal usage.
