Large Garden Planter

Large copper planter or log basket.

On both sides there is an unusual riveted attachment through which the cast iron hooped handle fits. There is also a line of horizontal rivets around the base of the copper.

Wonderful decorative patina and natural verdigris, the verdigris is particularly striking inside the copper.

History ~
Circa 1880s, France.

Condition ~
This is a heavy, sturdy and substantial item. There is some rust on the hooped handle. The wear is consistent with age and normal usage.
