A large decorative antique garden Planter or Jardinière. Wonderfully cast with elaborate high-relief floral designs, framed within a plain border. The original vitreous enamel outer coating is now oxidized to a soft off-white colour, producing a wonderfully worn patina and mottled green weathered appearance, which has taken many years to acquire. This French antique is designed for maximum visual impact – with its distinctive scalloped top rim and four raised cabriole style legs adding to its decorative antique appeal.
History~ Late 19th century, Baroque or Rococo Revival style, France.
Condition~ Good antique condition, strong and sturdy, no internal corrosion, lots of wear to the exterior surface, as shown in the images.
