Large 19th century oak wine tasting Vendage or Vgneron antique Table
A wonderful vendage table or vigneron table, in the classic tradition of French antique furniture. Made from French oak which has mellowed and paled over time and with a large and practical circular surface table area, beautifully carved trestle feet and a desirable classic lyre shaped folding mechanism.
Condition ~
Good antique condition, all the original underneath trestle supports are present and work well, strong and sturdy.
History ~
Originally used in the cellar of a French chateaux for tasting wine. Their tilt top design enabled vendage tables to be moved around for moving from one area to another.
