A wonderful umbrella stand or stick stand, made in France in the Art Nouveau period, from cast iron, with faux bamboo designs. As a typical example of the Art Nouveau movement this stand embraces the desire to use modern materials such as cast iron with nature inspired decorative motifs, in its original soft warm green paint.
History ~ Circa 1900, France.
Condition ~ Good antique condition, original drip tray, wear and patina to the green paintwork.
