Beautifully drawn and painted watercolour still life showing chrysanthemums in a delicately painted vase, set next to black grapes and fruit. The scene is offset against a dark furniture chest. A very atmospheric and rather wistful painting.
History ~ Signed M Kneller and dated, front right hand bottom corner, 1924, England.
Condition ~ The watercolour itself is in good condition. The frame has various chips and paint losses, which fit with the ambience of the painting itself. The original framers details have been retained verso.
