Decorative antique Japanese Cloisonné Vase with royal blue and turquoise enamelling

An attractive and eye-catching mid century antique cloisonné vase. Designed with polychrome decoration showing two stylised exotic flowers, which are offset against a vivid blue background with two turquoise bands.

History ~
Mid 1900s, Japan.

Cloisonné is a technique in which a metal surface, in this case brass, is covered in wires, into which coloured glass paste is placed, the object is then bent or hammered into a pattern.

Condition ~
Good antique condition, no dents.
