Bed cover ~ Cotton, Crewel Work

Large crewel work bedspread.  A truly exceptional piece.

Hand stitched throughout, onto a loose weave calico fabric ,which was made first, before the crewel work was added.

Finished with a hand stitched edging in a contrasting stitch.

Soft colours, pale fern green and iris blue, on a cream background.

Excellent condition.
