Antique Minton blue & white Chinese Marine Platter

A good quality antique blue and white transfer serving plate, meat plate or platter. It shows a typical Chinese Marine scene with pagodas, junks and oriental shrubs, offset in an ornate gadrooned edge. On the reverse is printed ‘Chinese Marine Opaque China’ and an impressed Minton symbol.

Produced by the famous Minton pottery, 1820s/30s.

Condition ~
Fair antique condition, no cracks or chips but obvious signs of use, surface scratches and marks. There is one noticeable mark to the edge of the gadrooned edge, as shown.
