Two torchons, or tea towels, made from an antique linen and cotton blend, in a lovely thick natural weave, with a hanging loop. Both have a carefully sewn antique embroidery in red cross stitch creating the monogram JP. Available individually.
History ~
France ~ early 1900s. These torchons are particularly large and would probably have been used by estate workers at a Chateau or vineyard to carry their lunch whilst working outside.
Condition ~
Good antique condition, strong and robust for use. No rips, repairs, stains or damage. Freshly laundered.
