Antique garden cast iron and glass pyramid top Cloche in original duck egg blue paint
A decorative and attractive garden antique, with good patina and wear to the cast iron frame, which has layers of old paint, originally green and then painted, some time ago, a faded and soft duck egg colour. Formed with a glass square base and pyramid shaped top. This mini glass house is also a practical and useful gardening tool - protecting young plants from cold and inclement Spring weather and at the same time warming the soil beneath it, to enable early planting of seasonal plants. Today such cloches are used equally as often inside, as decorative features or as terrariums for exotic plants.
