A wonderful antique cushion made from a woollen Victorian paisley shawl. Lovely warm tones of madder red with mauve and soft pink, and pale green incorporated in this attractive classic paisley design enclosed within a piped edge.
History ~
1800s, England.
Condition ~
Good condition. The paisley fabric has been professionally attached to a strong cotton inner layer so it is robust and practical. The reverse is made of hand dyed pure French linen in a closely matching mauve colour, with a central concealed zip closure.
Measurements ~
When laid flat the cushion is 19" or 48 cm at the widest point and is filled with a 22" duck feather pad.
