Antique cast iron Stick Stand or Umbrella Stand
An English antique cast iron Stick Stand or Umbrella Stand, elegantly designed and well proportioned, with six slender square compartments held together by four uprights, each of which has a simple cast iron finial at it's top. The Stand has two removable drip trays, each with matching finial knobs. The design is reminiscent of the Aesthetic Movement, and the cast iron features a geometric pattern throughout, in its original black paint, which has nicely faded.
History ~ Late 1800s, England.
Condition ~ Good antique condition, the two bars across the top are not quite straight, no doubt due to years of use, this is not noticeable when looking at the stick stand.
