Antique Arts & Crafts hammered copper Pin Tray or Trinket Dish. A wonderful decorative antique square copper tray with a hammered hole punch design and elaborate turned up ruffle edges. The copper has acquired a good mellow colour over many years.
History ~ Circa 1880, England.
Made by the illustrious firm of Richard Perry, Son & Co, (which was formed in 1835 in Wolverhampton) and had originally established a reputation as japanners and in tin plate working. It was prestigious enough to be one of the few companies positively identified with Dr Christopher Dresser. Only some of Perry's antique pieces are marked, and as such they are rare and sought after.
