19th century wine tasting Vendage or Vgneron antique Table
This vendage table or vigneron table is a good example of French antique furniture. With an appealing colour - the chestnut wood has mellowed nicely over time, and with a nicely proportioned circular top, trestle feet and a desirable classic lyre shaped folding mechanism.
Condition ~
Good antique condition, all the original underneath trestle supports are present and work well, no noticeable wine stains etc to the surface.
History ~
Originally used in the cellar of a French chateaux for tasting wine. Their tilt top design enabled vendage tables to be moved around for moving from one area to another.
