19th century Georgian lead Planter with 4 lion heads
A decorative and very appealing Georgian lead planter featuring four lion masks, wonderful faded colour to the lead. There is a gadrooned rim and original drainage holes. The planter stands on, but is not attached to, a small circular foot and therefore is in two parts. An attractive interior planter if not used in the garden.
History ~
Circa 1800, England.
Condition ~
The planter is misshapen and has some historical repairs, there are original drainage holes near the base and many signs of wear and use.
