19th century garden antique Andrew Handyside Campana Cast Iron weathered Urn
£ 520.00
A wonderfully decorative antique garden campana urn. Made from a quality antique crisply cast - with two loped handles designed as Satyr masks and an elaborate foliate frieze casting around the gadrooned bowl. This antique garden planter has acquired a rich patina with layers of faded and peeled cream paint, making it a decorative antique, equally suited inside or out.
History ~ Made by Andrew Handyside & Co, 1870s, Derby, England.
Condition ~ Good antique condition. Inside there is a circular drainage hole. Originally there would have been a piecrust rim to the top lip and a square base, neither of these losses detract from the overall appearance of the urn and it is solid and secure.
