Wonderful decorative antique marriage or wedding box. A lovely piece with painted naive folk art birds and simplistic flower designs, all in muted natural colours, a subtle and delicate decorative antique.
History ~ 19th century, Normandy, France.
Condition ~ Good antique condition. The paint is faded and there are two splits to the domed lid, as shown, which is not unusual. The back is not painted. Original handle and lock.
