This is a tall and elegant torchère. The top has a variegated pink veined marble insert carved in the shape of a petal. Around this is a carved frieze in a pierced design showing intricately carved cherry blossoms, the stems of which extend down the sides of its curved legs. Each leg is finished of with a primitive animal foot design.
